Tortellini Soup

Comforting and filling, this Tortellini Soup recipe is the perfect addition to your winter dinner lineup!


  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of Kitchen Accomplice Chicken Broth Concentrate or 4 tablespoons Kitchen Accomplice Organic Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate
  • 3 cups of water
  • 5.5 oz. can of tomato paste
  • ¾ cup of heavy cream
  • 3 cups of chopped kale
  • 18 oz. of frozen, premade tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • parmesan cheese to top



  1. In a large pot, add olive oil and onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute, stirring often. Add fresh thyme and rosemary and let the flavor release for another minute, while stirring.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, Kitchen Accomplice Chicken Broth Concentrate or Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate, water, tomato paste, heavy cream and chopped kale. Let cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the tortellini and cook for another 15 minutes, allowing the pasta to cook fully. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve and top with grated parmesan cheese fresh basil.
