  1. Cook the wild rice with 4 C. of prepared broth in a rice cooker. Add cranberries in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  2. As the rice cooks, heat oil in a large stockpot. Stirring regularly, cook the carrots, celery, and onion until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, incorporate the cooked wild rice and vegetables. Season to taste.
  4. Stir in chopped parsley and pecans to serve.
